The Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014 (BCAR) came into force on the 1st of March 2014 and introduced a range of new procedural measures for ensuring compliance with the Building Regulations on a wide range of construction projects, with a legislative requirement for the mandatory appointment, by the client, of an Assigned Certifier (AC) to oversee and administer the design, construction, and final certification of a broad range of construction works.
Val O’Brien & Associates, as Registered Building Surveyors, are among the designated professional groups which can undertake the role of Assigned Certifier (AC).
